“America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon presided over Thursday night’s edition of “Punk’d,” and from a standpoint of laughs and laughs alone we have to give the show credit — we don’t know if this was Cannon’s creativity or some great idea behind the scenes, but this was easily one of the best shows of the season.

Of course, part of the reason for this week’s success came courtesy of the victims and their crazy reactions.

Ashley Tisdale – There’s really no way that this prank could have gone better than it did. The former “High School Musical” star was convinced that she dragged a homeless man down the street after he tried to wash her windows, and she even fell for the whole guilt trip from all of the witnesses on the street. The only thing that made this better? A man pretending to record the whole ordeal for TMZ. Grade: A (and it would have been an A+ if this had actually shown up on TMZ)

Demi Lovato – Demi’s prank was also rather brilliant, since it played both to her fear of ghosts and also presented something that we haven’t seen all season. While it would have been nicer to see the former Disney star react a little more than she did, we’re happy that there was at least some pretty great payoff here and Demi took the entire stunt in stride. Grade: B+

New Boyz – Nick Cannon justified this entire prank by saying that he wanted to put the hip-hop duo that he manages in “their place,” and it really worked as he put them in a rather humiliating situation. After he invited the boys to an exclusive party, he had the security team treat them like they were nobodies to the point where they actually started to freak out. Grade: B+

The whole ordeal was pretty funny, even if we learned that the guys have a breaking point that comes a little bit faster than it did with Ashley or Demi.

They both found fame as young Disney stars and Ashley Tisdale and Selena Gomez are still very much firm friends.

So when Selena announced she would be holding a charity concert it appears her friends were the first in line to attend and show their support.

The 26-year-old High School Musical star stepped out in a super short striped dress to attend the House of Blues in West Hollywood last night.

Ashley teamed the revealing outfit with a loose knitted jumper and a pair of boots.

It appears she had time to visit Selena backstage before her set and tweeted a picture with the singer and friends.

Selena was performing to raise funds for UNICEF and has been an ambassador for the charity for two years.

As well as performing two concerts she has even travelled to Ghana and Chile to raise awareness on issues affecting children in the areas.

There’s nothing sexier than a rockstar, and it seems their musical ways make women (even in Hollywood!) instantly turn to putty. Most recently, Ashley Tisdale and Keira Knightley have both stepped out with the musical beaus, adding to the long list of sexy starlets who have dated and given their hearts to musicians!

Fresh off her recent breakup, Tisdale isn’t hiding her new budding romance with Martin Johnson. The High School Musical star held hands with her Boys Like Girls rocker beau, while out and about in Studio City, California. Ashley channeled a rocker chic look and she walked hand-in-hand with Martin.

Meanwhile, Knightley has been keeping her romance under wraps, but finally stepped out with her musician boyfriend James Righton, who plays keyboards and sings with the Klaxons, on Tuesday night in NYC. The couple attended the 2011 National Board of Review Awards gala at Cipriani 42nd Street and were caught holding hands and smiling as they left the gala. Aww!

Ashley Tisdale won’t be ringing in the new year with Scott Speer.

The couple has ended their relationship of more than two years, a source confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. Tisdale, 26, began dating music video director Speer, 29, in the spring of 2009, one month after she broke up with V Factory band member Jared Murillo.

“They had been on and off for a while. They tried to work it out but realized their relationship ran its course,” a source tells Us.

Prior to their split, Speer directed five of Tisdale’s music videos, including “He Said She Said,” “Not Like That,” “Suddenly,” “It’s Alright, It’s OK” and “Crank It Up.”

Tisdale — who shot to fame as part of Disney’s High School Musical franchise — recently appeared in her own spinoff, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

Three cheers for one of our favorite leading ladies! If you’ve been missing Ashley Tisdale since her sis-boom-bah series “Hellcats” was cancelled earlier this year, we’ve got some news to put the pep back in your step: Ashley is headed back to the small screen!

Deadline reports that the 26-year-old has sold a semi-autobiographical sitcom to ABC—in which she’ll both star and serve as co-executive producer. Titled “Under Construction,” the series follows a young woman (presumably Ashley) who moves back home with her parents while her father renovates her hell-hole of a new house. And we assume very silly adult children/parent shenanigans will follow.

In addition to “Under Construction,” Ashley’s production company, Blondie Girl Prods., also has an unscripted series titled “Miss Advised” in the works at Bravo.

We’re thrilled to see Ashley headed back to TV, and in a comedy no less (girl’s got some chops). Our one wish for the ABC series? A hot love interest who’s not “Under Construction.”

Ashley Tisdale has been plenty busy between a new video on ‘Funny or Die’ and birthday wishes for Hilary Duff. Ashley wasn’t too busy though to take time out to show her support for Demi Lovato. Tisdale was very pretty candid about Lovato on Twitter.

Ashley Tisdale then took time out to watch ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ She was clearly taken by Demi Lovato’s performance:
